Primary improvements involved replacing 35,000 SF of airfield paving and installing 7 new 100-FT high mast lights on the West Apron. The project also included taxiway edge lighting, spall repairs, asphalt access roads and all new pavement markings for the re-worked apron. All work was carefully coordinated with airport operations as the west apron and adjoining taxiways were active during construction. The completed project facilitates the safe overnight parking of 13 aircraft which is essential in the growth of Sacramento and its International Airport.

Several new AOPs across various national forests throughout the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range will now allow for the unimpeded migration of the many species who call these streams home. Design-Build criteria included geomorphic and hydrologic studies along with stream environmental analysis. Constructability of these structures are challenging due to the remote access of the project sites. Some of the sites were built with onsite concrete batch plants. Structure spans varied from 10’ to 24’ widths and lengths up to 80’ and excavations were often in granite rock. All projects included the installation of streambed simulation below the structures to create a more natural look.
